We are expecting kittens!

It's official! River Song and Damian's mating was a success, and we are finally expecting kittens in December. River's due date is December 27th. This will be River's second litter, and Damian's first. River's first litter was magnificent, so now we are very excited to see what kind of offspring Damian will produce. He is a large, big boned boy with a massive, broad head, perfect ear size, shape and placing, excellent eye colour and great silky coat quality. In my opinion, the only things that River Song is lacking is size, and also her ears are a tad too narrow at the base. Damian is very large and heavy with perfect ears, so I am confident that these two will produce some great offspring!

I was initially going to give Sally quite a few months before mating her, but she has started having very frequent heat cycles and might benefit from not waiting too long. She is growing into a beautiful young lady, but I think she is a little bit too immature to have her own kittens just yet. My hope is that she matures a little bit mentally when River has her kittens in December :) In a perfect world, she would have her first litter sometime during this spring, but we will just have to wait and see. These are exciting times at cattery Whimsical's!
