About the breed; Ragdoll
The Ragdoll is relatively new breed of cats, first developed by American breeder Anne Baker in the 1960's. The ragdoll is a large, white breed with pointed markings and blue eyes. They have semi long, silky, almost rabbit-like coats and large, heavy-boned, muscular bodies with long legs. All ragdoll kittens are born completely white, and their color and pattern develop slowly. They come in several different colors, and three patterns; mitted, colorpoint and bicolor, with or without tabby. The ragdoll is a slow developing breed, and their size, type and color patterns can take up to four years to fully develop. The name "ragdoll" originates from the claim that these cats flop and go limp like a toy rag doll when you hold them in your arms. Although a lot of ragdolls do flop, this is not true for all individuals, and ragdolls that don't flop are no less of a ragdoll than the ones that do
Ragdolls are calm, lovable, intelligent and affectionate cats, and they love their humans. Our cats meet us at the door when we come home, follow us around in the apartment like little puppies and seize every chance they get to snuggle in our laps or by our sides ♥ They are docile, but playful, a little clumsy, and extremely cuddly. Their gentle, calm demeanor makes them especially suitable as indoor cats, and they usually get along with children and other animals very well. Our male cat Damian's best friend and big brother is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog named Winston! Ragdolls require a lot of love and attention from their owners, and they don't like to spend too much time home alone. Although all cats are generally independent animals, these babies really enjoy your company, and will usually benefit greatly from having another cat friend. These beautiful cats are guaranteed to crawl right into your heart and stay there forever ♥
