Kitsune is one of our two keeper girls among the legendary beasts. I was initially set on selling her as a pet because the tip of her tail is white. She did, however, develop very nicely very quickly. By the time she was 5-6 weeks old I couldn't get myself to sell her as a pet and decided to keep her in my breeding. She can't be shown because of her tail, but she has so many other amazing qualities that I'm confident in keeping her. She also has the most amazing temperament, which is one of the most important qualities in my opinion. She is a super outgoing, playful and all around fun youngster, and chirps like a little bird. She is probably the most empathetic cat I've ever owned, and was always close by and grooming Milja when she was ill. In the days after Milja died she was glued to me 24/7, purring and comforting me when I cried.
Kitsune just tested all clear of 50 different genetic disorders, and we are delighted to learn that she is a chocolate carrier as well as dilute! This means that she can potentially give blue, seal, chocolate and lilac kittens. Chocolate and lilac is a recessive gene, so we would need to find another carrier for her to have chocolate/lilac kittens. Hopefully we will find a carrier for her in the future.
Type-wise she is my favorite among her litter. She looks like a slightly upgraded version of her gorgeous mom. She has a perfectly symmetrical inverted V, wonderful profile with a strong chin and good height in the forehead, and great ears. Her eye color is a gorgeous deep blue, and she has the most silky, luxurious coat and beautiful bushy tail. She is a medium sized girl, and would have the potential to do great in the show halls if it wasn't for her cute little fox tail. My initial plan was for her to go to a host family, but after we lost our dear Milja, we decided to keep her with us. Kitsune is everyone's friend, and it seems like all of our cats love her. She is a forever kitten, super playful and makes the cutest little chirping noises. We are hoping to find her a suitable mate during 2024. Since we are down scaling, she will most likely retire after just one litter.
